What is MelumiyaChat?
MelumiyaChat is an 18+ AI roleplay platform focused on persistent characters, relationships and fictional worlds. Its continuity system combines structured Memories, a World Bible, character dossiers, scenarios and evolving RP state.
How does persistent memory work?
Memories are explicit objects rather than only hidden chat context. A memory can store what happened, who remembers it, who was involved, when, where, its type, importance, emotional weight, current relevance and source.
Who remembers a memory?
The “Who Remembers” field controls memory ownership. A memory does not have to become globally available to every character in the world.
What is the World Bible?
The World Bible is structured canon for a roleplay world. It can hold history, background facts, characters, relationships, core canon, locations, secrets and knowledge, factions, objects, world rules, current state, physical continuity, timeline events and custom entries.
What is the difference between a Memory and the World Bible?
A Memory represents what a particular person or persona carries forward. The World Bible represents what is canonically true about the world and its current state. A character can therefore remember something incorrectly while the world canon records a different truth.
Can MelumiyaChat add memories and world facts automatically?
The current continuity architecture is designed to detect meaningful facts established during RP and route them into the appropriate structure. Duplicate AI-derived items can be merged and evolving state can update over time.
Can the AI overwrite canon I wrote myself?
User-authored canon is treated as authoritative. Conflicting auto-detected facts are not meant to silently replace it; contradiction handling is designed to keep those conflicts reviewable.
Can different characters know different secrets?
Yes. Secrets and knowledge can record who knows a fact, while character-specific memories can independently control who remembers an event.
Can I edit or remove a memory?
Yes. The current web app exposes memory editing and archiving controls, including the structured fields used for continuity.
Do scenarios change the original template when I roleplay?
Scenarios are designed as reusable starting templates. Starting a roleplay copies the scenario canon into the RP so that particular story can evolve without rewriting the original scenario template.
Does MelumiyaChat decide what my character does?
The RP design rules are user-control oriented: the AI should not invent the user’s actions, replace established facts or decide the user’s choices for them.
Which platforms are supported?
MelumiyaChat is distributed for Web, Windows and Android. Android may be distributed as a direct APK when no store listing is used.
Is MelumiyaChat for adults?
Yes. MelumiyaChat is positioned as an 18+ adult roleplay platform. Users remain responsible for lawful use and for following the published legal and acceptable-use information.
Are customer testimonials shown on the site?
Not yet. MelumiyaChat does not manufacture testimonials, user counts or review scores. Those will be added only when there is genuine user feedback or verifiable public data to show.
Where can I report a bug or ask for help?
Use the Support page or the published support email. The public Status page separately reports website/API health so a service problem does not have to be guessed at.
